<p>The method involves using two detectors (23,26,28,24,27,29) and a radioactive body (25). Each detector delivers electric analogue signals (x+, x-, y+, y- and w), which consists of pulses, which emanate from the impinging of (y, y' or y") photons on the detectors (23,24). At least one compressed signal is produced for each detector. Each compressed signal represents one of the electric analogue signals, with which the pulse duration is shortened. The coordinates of the impact are computed from the compressed signals and simultaneously, the pulses are determined on at least one electric analogue signal of each detector. A coincidence signal is produced, if a pulse in a time window, which is set with the same timing, on at least two electric analogue signals, which respectively origin from two detectors (w) is detected. The impact position (X,Y) determining the coincidence signal is made valid.</p> |
