PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an accurate current position at all times without interrupting the position measurement even when the receiving becomes difficult, by preliminarily acquiring a satellite which is to be received in the next, by a receiving channel excluding the receiving channel which is used in the measurement of the current position. SOLUTION: A current position recognizing device 3 of a satellite utilizing position measuring means 1, recognizes the current position of a car from an electric wave received by a GPS receiver 2. A controller 10 reads the recognized current position, and displays the same onto a display unit (CRT) 16 through a display controller 14. The position measuring means 1 comprises the receiving channels more than those necessary for measuring the current position, for preliminarily acquiring the satellite which is to be received in the next by the receiving channel which is not used in the measurement of the current position. Accordingly the satellite performing the preliminary aquirement, is immediately switched when the receiving from any one of the satellites during the measurement, becomes difficult, so that the position can be measured continuously, and the accurate current position can be displayed at all times. |
