PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buckle for a safety belt for surely preventing accidental unlocking during an acceleration generatable in the longitudinal direction and the crossing direction of a buckle by providing a large safety limit. SOLUTION: An unlocking button 14 for a catch slidable between a locking position and an unlocking position is installed to a frame 10, a lever 16 is pivotally attached through a pin 18 to the frame 10 and the lever 16 is provided with two compensation bodies for constituting a compensation massive body and lever arms 16c and 16d positioned oppositely to them. The unlocking button 14 is provided with abutting parts 14a and 14b separated from each other, the abutting part 14a is separated from the free end of the lever arm 16c for a prescribed distance A and oppositely arranged and the abutting part 14b is oppositely arranged with a separation distance shorter than the prescribed distance A from the free end of the lever arm 16d. The prescribed distance A is considerably shorter than an unlocking button distance between the locking position and the unlocking position. The lever 16 is energized toward a neutral position by a spring and the unlocking button 14 forms a locking surface 22. |
