<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to generate a virtual pointing device on a computer system which has a processor, a memory, and a touch screen by executing a command in response to the activation of a 1st area of a virtual pointing device and redefining a command in response to the movement of a hand. SOLUTION: When a user brings a hand substantially into contact with the touch screen 200 and slides the hand on the touch screen 200, the position of a user's hand moving on the touch screen 200 is detected. In response to that, the area below the hand is redefined continuously as an activated area of the virtual pointing device. Therefore, the virtual pointing device moves following the user's hand as the hand moves. Namely, a command is executed in response to the activation of a 1st area of the virtual pointing device. Then a command is redefined in response to the movement of at least a 2nd part of a 1st part of the hand.</p> |
