The automotive screw has a head, a shaft and a helical thread, and is fabricated from two different types of plastics. An elastomer plastic is incorporated in the foot (5) part of the shaft (3), while the upper part of the shaft and head (1) are made of a relatively hard plastics. The elastomer shaft (3) section represents between one third and two thirds of the shaft's overall length.
