The invention concerns a transponder with a transmitting antenna (4) and a receiving antenna (2) and with a transceiver module (3) which is connected to both antennae and takes the form of an integrated circuit. The transmission and receiving frequencies are different and the antennae and integrated circuit are disposed on a common carrier (1). According to the invention, in order to produce a transponder of this type as economically as possible, the receiving antenna and/or the transmitting antenna is/are mounted as coiled planar conductor structures on a foil, and the integrated circuit or at least part (30) thereof is mounted directly on the planar conductor structure(s).
