PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet recording paper capable of obtaining a sharp high quality image high in printing density by full color printing, excellent in ink absorbability and having high glossiness. SOLUTION: This ink jet recording paper has a constitution such that an ink receiving layer based on pigment and a binder and a gloss layer based on pigment and a binder are laminated on a paper base material in this order and the surface of the gloss layer has glossiness of 35 or more, Oken type smoothness of 120-300sec and air permeability of 60-120sec/100cc. Further, a coating material for the gloss layer is applied and a resin film is superposed on the coating layer before the coating material for the gloss layer is not dried and the coating material for the gloss layer is dried to form the gloss layer and the resin film is peeled and removed to produce ink jet recording paper. |
