The stop, made for a motor vehicle door hinge with fixed (2) and moving (1) sections attached to the door pillar and door respectively and connected by a pivot pin (2), consists of a component (5, 9) made from a flexible metal and comprising a rectangular sole (5) connected to the pivot pin and moving hinge section, and an elastic T-shaped arm (9) which extends from the sole and has end projections (10, 11) designed to make contact with the fixed hinge section when the door is manoeuvred. The component (5, 9) is produced by stamping, cutting or pressing, with the sole fitting into a recess in the upper end of the moving hinge section, and the arm folded in the middle towards the fixed hinge section.
