PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacture of a fuel electrode for a solid electrolyte fuel cell, wherein proper electrode performance can be kept in both cases of high and low operating temperatures, and the lowering of battery performance due to temperature distribution in the cell is prevented by dispersing CeO2 -doped YSZ fine particles in the cermet of doped CeO2 and nickel, to hinder the aggregation of Ni particles by the doped CeO2 powder and Ce-TSZ fine particles. SOLUTION: A cermet composed of yttria stabilized zirconia(YSZ) wherein a transition metal is solidly dissolved, nickel(Ni), and cerium oxide wherein a bivalent or trivalent metal is solidly dissolved, is obtained by adding the metal-organic compound solutions of yttrium(Y) and a metal-organic compound solution of a transition metal(M) to a metal-organic compound solution of zirconium(Zr), to form a mixed solution of Zr, Y, M, and mixing NiO powder and cerium oxide powder, wherein the oxide of a bivalent or trivalent metal is solidly dissolved, into the Zr, Y, M solution to form a slurry, and finally performing the processes of the hydrolysis, condensation polymerization, thermal decomposition, annealing, and reducing of the Zr, Y, M mixed salt in this order in the slurry. |
