The invention relates to plumbing fittings and particularly to a safety divertervalve for a faucet spout end that enables water to be directed either into a hand spray nozzle or alike or to a sink or alike. The safety diverter is capable of directing the flow to either of its two outlets in a random and stepless way by operating a hand spray nozzle valve in fluid communication with the safety diverter. When not being used the technical construction of the diverter allows a constantly maintained state of basic security by preventing any reverse flow from the diverter to the municipal water supply. Water can be saved and and the quantity of the flow through the the safety diverter can be controlled through a flow adjustment system included in the invention. The accessory nature of the invention offers the benefits of a tool free, instant and easy installation to the already existing modern water spout systems requiring no modifications thereto and utilizing their modern water temperature control systems. Consequently, this invention is particularly capable of meeting the demands of a cost effective production and installation of a hand spray nozzle kit.
