PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To profitably obtain conidia useful as a microbial herbicide by culturing a mold capable of forming the conidia from vegetative hyphae in a culture medium containing corn steep liquor. SOLUTION: A mold capable of differentiating conidia and aerial hyphae from vegetative hyphae, such as Drechslera monoceras belonging to the genus Drechslera, is cultured in a culture medium containing corn steep liquor in an amount of approximately 1-40g/liter. The differentiation of the vegetative hyphae into the aerial hyphae is suppressed, and the conidia capable of being easily processed into formulations are obtained in an improved yield. |
