The coupling is for a vehicle engine with 360-730 deg synchronisation intervals. Such an engine has part crankshafts (3,4) for the primary engine (1) and the secondary engine (2). It consists of a locking key coupling part and a friction coupling part. The friction coupling part (40) is augmented by a viscous hydraulic coupling part (50) and a clamping roller idling device (58). These two components are switched in parallel with each other. The clamping roller idling device engages the secondary engine for starting and high-revs. operation.
