PROCESS FOR REMOVING POLYCYLIC AROMATIC HYDROCACRBON FROM COAL TAR

摘要

Benzo(a)pyrene, which is harmful to body and induces an environmental pollution, in coal tar pitch is removed by blowing the nitrogen, air, steam or coal tar-distillating aromatic oil selected from wash oil, anthracene oil or mixed cresol at 320-400 deg.C under vacuum of 10-150mmHg. The obtained coal tar pitch is useful as a binder of electrodes for aluminium refining and a binder of cokes or graphite.
