The invention relates to a method for forming, filling and closing sacks. A hose-like material web (14) is formed at a filling station of sacks by forming at least two band-like material webs (12', 13') out of at least two material rolls (12, 13) by spirally winding at least one of said material rolls (12, 13) about a mandrel part (11), said band-like material webs being attached to one another to provide the hose-like material web (14). Sack blanks (30) are formed out of the hose-like material web (14) by cutting the hose-like material web (14) into a desired size and by closing the bottom of the cut-off hose-like material web (14). The sack blank (30) is filled with bulk goods at the filling station and closed.
