The drill head is used for boring holes frontally in hardmaterials, especially in rocks. It has a longer life of its drill head, especially of the pneumatic (compressed air) hammers. The head includes a basic body which is the central support, and a protruding stem with a vertical axis pointing upwards and fitted on the basic body. The fitting head guarantees dismantable connection of the stem to the drilling machine shaft. The drill head has at least two compressed air hammers mounted on the basic body so that they can break the hard material on the face, in length of at least one peripheral circumference having the vertical axis as its centre. Each compressed air hammer has a hollow housing, and a pneumatically operating device producing impacts included in the housing, and a drilling part actuated by the device producing the impacts. The hollow housings of the compressed air hammers are integral part of the basic body and together form one internal design part. The central cavities of the hollow housings consists of longitudinal holes machined in this monolithic part and positioned in a direction, parallel to the vertical axis of the stem, at close distances from this axis. The drilling part of each compressed air hammer is preferably mounted in an upper composite part screwed on top of the respective hole, designed in the monolithic part so that it may freely revolve in it. A spring on torsion principle can be mounted externally around the upper composite part so that it can prevent any unintentional unscrewing from the hole.
