PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To access the voice and image signals of real-time properties and also the stored information via a communication circuit and by means of terminals (for wireless, wire and fast circuits) of different information transfer rates the different protocols (in terms of compressibility, compression methods, etc.). SOLUTION: The attribute information showing the communication transfer rates and protocols is notified to an encoder 103 via the terminals 106, 107, 108 and 110 which are connected to a network 105 as well as the network 105 and a communication interface 104. The encoder 103 selects an encoding method based on the attribute information and encodes the information signal sent from an input device 101 by the selected encoding method to send the encoded information signal to the network 105 via the interface 104. |
