PURPOSE:To make easy thread-laying operation, by a method wherein the title device comprises a looper thread-laying member which extends along an oscillating arm, and a looper thread-laying stand which is fixed under the oscillating arm, and a means whereby the looper thread-laying member is relatively shifted to the oscillating arm. CONSTITUTION:In the title device, a looper thread-laying part 9a is formed at the top of a looper thread-laying member 9 provided along an oscillating arm 2 and a lower looper thread take-up lever 4b is provided at the middle thereof. After the oscillating arm 2 is turned by operating a sewing machine, clockwise in centering around an oscillating arm shaft 3 for the lower looper, it is shifted by pushing a slide knob 11, downward along an oblique part 10a in a slide groove 10', following which the top part of the looper thread-laying member 9 is shifted against an actuating spring 15 to the downward right side, and at this time a pivotally-supported pin 14 acts as a fulcrum. When the slide knob 11 reaches a vertically-dropped part 10b in the slide groove 10', the actuating spring 15 is beyond its dead point, and thus the top end of the looper thread-laying member 9 is furthermore projected on the right side of a frame 8, and the thread take-up lever 4b is also shifted to the right side. As the result of it, thread-laying operation is made easy and quick. |
