PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition which can be satisfactorily vulcanization-bonded to a polyester fiber and a composite material thereof with a polyester fiber. SOLUTION: This composition comprises 100 pts.wt. ethylene/α-olefin/ nonconjugated copolymer, 0.2-30 pts.wt. carboxylic compound and 1-12 pts.wt. at least one compound selected from among sulfenamides, guanidines, thiorueas, thiazoles and xathogenates. This material comprises the composition and a polyester fiber.
