<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always provide a color space conversion characteristic fitted to a picture by transferring digital color picture data of a color space and the color space conversion characteristic. SOLUTION: On a transmission-side, digital picture data is supplied to a terminal 101 and color space characteristic data showing the color space characteristic of digital picture data is supplied to a terminal 102. On a reception-side, transmission data supplied from a terminal 107 is decoded and a data block is extracted from a transmission packet in a transmission line decoding circuit 108. Then, the correction processing of a transmission line error is executed on the data in an error correction circuit 109. In a data separation circuit 110, color space characteristic data transmitted by using a sub-code area in picture data and picture data is supplied to a terminal 111 and color space characteristic data to a terminal 112. Color space characteristic data for picture data which is thus transmitted can simultaneously be obtained. At the time of executing a CMS processing on the reception-side, a processing based on optimum characteristic data becomes possible.</p> |
