PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject liquid drug produced by dissolving a calcium source with malic acid and/or citric acid and lactic acid, having high solubility of the calcium source, containing calcium at high concentration, free from stimulating smell and salty taste and having excellent taste and flavor. SOLUTION: A calcium source (preferably calcium carbonate or shell such as oyster shell powder) is dissolved by using malic acid and/or citric acid and lactic acid. The molar equivalent ratio of the malic acid and/or citric acid to the lactic acid is preferably 1:(1-20). The objective liquid drug can be prepared by adding water to the calcium source, dispersing the source under stirring, adding malic acid and/or citric acid and lactic acid to the dispersion and stirring the mixture under heating at 50-100 deg.C. The liquid drug can be used as a calcium drink for medicine or food by compounding the drug with a herb extract, a physiologically active component, a preservative, a sweetener, etc., according to the use. |
