PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dielectric porcelain compsn. having a high dielectric constant and a high Q value in a high frequency region. SOLUTION: This compsn. is based on a multiple oxide contg. at least Ba, Zn, Nb, W and Ta as metallic elements in a molar ratio represented by the formula aBaO.bZnO.cNb2 O5 .dWO3 .eTa2 O5 (where 0.40<=a<=0.70, 0.10<=b<=0.35, 0<c<=0.30, 0<d<=0.35, 0<e<=0.30, 0.16<=c+e<=0.31 and a+b+c+d+e=1.00) and contains Li or Li and B as metallic elements by 0.001-0.8wt.% each (expressed in terms of Li2 CO3 and B2 O3 ) based on the amt. of the multiple oxide. |
