Determination of low concentration of specific nucleic acid by amplification

Determination of nucleic acid (I) at low concentration comprises: (a) amplification using polymerase, an unlabelled amplification primer (P1) and labelled detection primer (P2) so that P2 becomes incorporated into the amplification product during reaction, and (b) measuring the decrease in concentration of P2 as an indication of the presence of (I).
