摘要 FIELD: space engineering. SUBSTANCE: gyroscope has rotor which is held inside gimbal mount electrostatically or magnetically with no contact with inner surfaces. Housing is mounted on support of gimbal mount which is installed on space vehicle. Connected to housing of gimbal mount is engine which generates torque rotating the housing about gimbal mount axis. To form torque used for change of direction, first rotation of rotor proper is created on space vehicle. Then torque is induced on rotor relative to output axle. This induced torque gives rise to precession of rotor relative to axis of gimbal mount which is repeated by engine developing the torque. Torque induced relative to output axle is directly transmitted to space vehicle. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
