PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil cover capable of preventing weeds from upwardly growing through the soil cover even if it is weed having strong growing force and preventing fiber on the surface from releasing and scattering through the soil cover even if a resin binder, etc., of a fiber layer is deteriorated by the influence of direct sunshine. SOLUTION: This soil cover is obtained by covering the upper surface of a fiber layer having 300-10000g/m<2> surface density and <=200kg/m<3> density with a shink material. The sink material is made of a net having 5mm opening size or a nonwoven fabric having 20-100g/m<2> surface density. A woven fabric or knit fabric of glass filament is preferably used as the net and a nonwoven fabric made of an inorganic fiber is preferably used as the nonwoven fabric. A layer made of an inorganic fiber and having 1-12μm average fiber diameter is preferably used as the fiber layer.
