发明名称 STIMULATED SCATTERING AMPLIFIER
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert excitation light at a high efficiency and to obtain high-output Stokes light by a method wherein reflecting mirrors for conforming the electric fields of the excitation light and the Stokes light, which are incident, to the same direction are respectively arranged on each of the optical paths of the excitation light and the Stokes light. SOLUTION: A B→C part is the optical path of amplified output Stokes light. Excitation light passes through each point of points K, L, M, I, B and J. The point B is an amplifier filled with a stimulated scattering medium for amplifying the Stokes light. The Stokes light is intersected the excitation light at an angle that an optical path GH forms with a coordinate axis Ys and a reflecting mirror is arranged at a point G so that the polarizing direction of the Stokes light becomes a Z-axis direction. Also in respect to the excitation light, a reflecting mirror is arranged at a point K so that the polarizing direction of the excitation light becomes the Z-axis direction. When the polarizing directions of the excitation and stokes lights are conformed to the Z-ais direction (Φp ,Φs = O degree), a Raman amplification gain is 5.04. When the polarizing directions are not conformed to the Z-axis direction, the multiplication of the Stokes light is 3.5 times, but by conforming the polarizing directions to the Z-aixs direction, the intensity of the output Stokes light is made 154 times higher than that of the Stokes light at the time when the polarizing directions are not conformed to the Z-axis direction.
