PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To register data on a postal code and an address in the respective areas of an address book data base when either the postal code or the address is inputted. SOLUTION: The input reception means 11 of a control part 1 receives the input of the postal number from an input part 2. The registration means 12 of the control part 1 registers the inputted postal number to the postal number registration area 61 of the address book data base 6. A dictionary retrieval part 8 retrieves a postal number dictionary 5 where the postal number is made to correspond to the address. When the address corresponding to the inputted postal number is one type as the result of retrieval, the registration means 12 of the control part 1 registers the address in the address registration area 62 of the address book data base 6.
