<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleavage type relief valve capable of releasing an abnormal inner pressure through its quick and precise operation, when an abnormality of a sealed battery such as high performance secondary battery is caused by a short circuit, overcharging, etc. SOLUTION: An air vent hole 4 is provided on part of a sealed type battery container, and a metal foil 2 is joined and sealed with a cold welding method so as to block this air vent hole 4. When the inner pressure of the battery container raises and exceeds a specified value, a thin thickness part 5 positioned in the vicinity of a junction part 9 by the cold welding method and worked to the plate thickness according to a specified cleavage pressure is cleaved, the inner pressure thereof is released from the air vent hole, and an explosion- proof function is given.</p> |
