摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the energy loss of a heat storage body of an apparatus to purify harmful components, e.g. CO(carbon monoxide), HC(hydrocarbons) in various types of waste gases, keep the temperature effective for oxidation reaction in a necessary region by the heat storage body near a heating apparatus, and at the same time prevent deterioration of catalysts due to overheating and occurrence of heat loss. SOLUTION: A harmful gas heating and purifying apparatus has a structure in which both ends of a purifying part 7 including a flow route to pass a harmful gas and a heating part 10 are switched to be an inlet of a waste gas and an outlet of a purified gas for every prescribed period and the apparatus has heat storage body layers optionally together with catalyst layers including heat sensors 18 in the middle of waste gas flow routes from both end parts of the purifying part 7 to the heating part 10. While the information of a plurality of the heat sensors being switched, the output of the heating part 10 is controlled based on the information from a heat sensor 18 installed between a catalyst layer and a heat storage body layer or buried in a heat storage body layer on windward side of the heating part 10.
