PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to keep a cutting blade of a combine harvester at almost constant height. SOLUTION: A combine harvester is installed with a height-setting device which sets an objective height of a cutting blade from the ground surface, a cutting height sensor which detects the height from the ground surface, an inclination senior which detects a pitch angle of the machine body and a control unit which outputs a drive pulse signal based on a difference between the objective height of the cutting blade and the actual height. The control unit operates a drive time tu and tp by dividing a forecast height deviationΔH by control velocities Vu and Vp of the reaping unit whereΔH is the forecast height deviation after a predetermined time and is the total sum of a deviation (h) between the objective height and the present height, a deviationΔh between the present height and the preceding height of the cutting blade and a deviation,Δh0 corresponding to a deviationΘp which is a difference between the present pitch angle and the preceding pitch angle of the machine body.
