PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the total information amount without problems of subjective image quality with simple configuration by receiving a coding parameter used for coding an image signal and using the coded parameter obtained by an arithmetic section so as to code a multi-channel image. SOLUTION: A 1st image signal fed through a line 1031 is compression-coded by a coding section 103 and coded data are outputted through a line 1032. A parameter representing a coding state through a line 1011 from the coding section 103 to a coding control section 1101. The coding control section 1011 calculates proper coding control parameter from the received coding state parameter and gives it to the coding section 103 via a line 1012 and gives it also to a coding control section 2102 via a line 1013. A coding control section 2102 calculates a coding control parameter for a 2nd image from the coding control parameter by a predetermined method and gives it to a coding section 104 via a line 1022. |
