PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the camera system by which an image pickup state of a main object is surely and stably controlled by controlling an image information fetch area within a screen based on position information and controlling the image pickup state based on an image signal equivalent to data in the inside of the area. SOLUTION: An eyeball 142 views a liquid crystal monitor 134 displaying an image pickup pattern and a sight detection circuit 140 detects to which position of the display screen the eyeball 142 views based on an IRED (sight line detecting device) 135. The sight detection circuit 140 detects a sight position coordinate based on an output signal of an amplifier 139 and sends it to a main body microcomputer 114 as sight position coordinate information. The main body microcomputer 114 gives the sight position information and a state of a sight mode switch 141 to a lens microcomputer 116 in a lens unit 127. Simultaneously in order to allow a photographer to recognize a current noticed point in the sight mode, an LCD display circuit 133 mixes the video signal and the notice point position information to display the sight position onto a screen of the liquid crystal display device 134. |
