The body consists of an aluminium casting (7), notably high-quality casting or diecasting and is made up of a bottom-faced (8) disc (9) whose ribs (12) radiate to faceplate of the pin (11) projecting from the centre of the disc. The pin faceplate (13) is dead-holed (15) to take a joint ball and a hole (16) moulded in at an angle from the surface (10) of the disc (9) meets the radial bore (17) which in turn reaches to an axial dead-hole (18) issuing on the bottom face (8) of the disc. The surface of the disc slopes upward to the cylindrical central pin (11), and the air is supplied to the bearing via holes (16,17,18), the hole (18) being closed off by a grub screw to prevent air escape. In cases where the air is brought in through hole (17), the grub screw is transferred to hole (16) thus closing this off to keep the air in.
