Miniaturised electro=acoustic transducer

For use in personal computers and other appliances, a miniaturised electro-acoustic transducer contains a planar elliptical diaphragm (13) in a diaphragm body (12) which is clamped in a rectangular frame (11) mfd. from a plastic moulding material with the aid of position guides (16). The guides are provided at diagonally opposite locations on the top of the frame. Pref. the diaphragm is made of a very thin foamed mica. A corrugation (14) at the edge of the diaphragm is pref. formed from a polyesterurethane elastomer.
