PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic teller machine which can automatically judge the propriety of a cassette cash loading job by attaching a storage medium where the total loaded cash amount is recorded together with the identification information on the loadable teller machine to a cash loading cassette. SOLUTION: When a cassette 6 is set at a cassette reception part 3b, the data (the number of an automatic teller machine and the number of sheets of loaded cash) on an IC card 7 attached to the cassette 6 are read at an IC card R/W part 3d. Then, the number of the teller machine contained in the data read at the part 3d is compared with the number stored in the teller machine itself at a machine number comparison part 3e. If the coincidence is confirmed between both numbers, the cash is taken out of the cassette 6 and counted. This counted cash is compared with the number of sheets of cash that is stored in the card 7. If the coincidence is confirmed in this comparison, the cash is stored in a cash store part 3a. If no coincidence is confirmed for the number of the teller machine or the amount of cash, the error processing is carried out. Thus, it is possible to automatically confirm whether the cassette 6 and the cash stored in this cassette are right or not, and to prevent the working mistakes and illegality. |
