<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink composition capable of widening the allowable ranges of printing conditions such as the width of suitable wetting water supplying range, improving the printing aptitude and reducing the stains, etc., on the printing surface by blending a dimer diol at a specific ratio to improve an emulsifying aptitude. SOLUTION: This ink composition for an offset printing contains 0.01-10wt.% dimer diol. As the dimer diol, it is preferable to use a mixture containing a 36C dimer diol obtained by reducing a dimer acid obtained by the dimerization of an 8C unsaturated fatty acid, as a major component. The objective composition is preferably obtained by blending 20-50wt.% binder resin such as an alkyd resin, etc., 0-30wt.% plant oil such as a linseed oil, etc., 2-60wt.% pigment, 10-60wt.% solvent such as an aromatic hydrocarbon, etc., and 0.05-2wt.% dimer diol. There is no limitation in the method of adding the dimer diol. But, when preparing the printing ink base for the offset printing and conducting a flushing of substituting water in the cake for an oily vehicle, it is preferable to add dimer diol after the above addition operation.</p> |
