PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to quantify the difference degreeαto the distribution data obtained by the measurement with respect to reference distribution data, and to quantitatively evaluate the distribution data, and particularly, diagnose a patient or quantitatively evaluate a particle analyzer. SOLUTION: The distribution data difference degree evaluating apparatus comprises a particle analyzer for individually measuring the features of particles contained in a specimen to form the particle distribution data based on the obtained measured values, a subtracter for calculating the difference between the formed distribution data and predetermined reference distribution data to form the distribution data of the difference, a smoothing unit 26 for smoothing the distribution data, and a difference degree calculator 28 for calculating the difference degree of the formed distribution data with respect to the reference distribution data based on the distribution data of the smoothed difference.
