FIELD: metallurgy, feedstock for smelting ferroalloys, specifically ferrochrome. SUBSTANCE: chrome-containing component and binding agents are proportioned, mixed together, briquetted and dried. Said chrome- containing component is dust recovered by gas cleaning system of ferrochrome smelting operation. Dust is held in stock until its volume is reduced by 10-20%, treated in mixer with water taken in amount 5-10% based on dust weight. Briquettes are subjected to natural drying by aeration. Resulting briquettes posses great stability during ferrochrome smelting process in refining and ore reducing furnaces, thus improving ferrochrome production parameters. EFFECT: improved economic and technical aspects of ferrochrome production. |
