A device for a fine control over the release of tension on overhead conductors uses a clamp (2) and an auxiliary cable (3) from the cross-arm. The auxiliary cable has a coupling piece(5) with a hole (6) lying outside the tension path and into this hole is hooked the tension release device (7) with fine control. Its other end is attached to the cross-arm or another arm. It is removed after use. The coupling piece is a triangular plate with three holes or a rectangular plate with four holes. The tension release device comprises a hydraulic cylinder fed by another unit (8). There is a check valve to fix the piston in the cylinder after tension release.
