PURPOSE: To obtain a tyrosinase activity inhibitor having excellent skin whitening effect and a cosmetic containing a tyrosinase activity inhibitor having good use feeling and stability and capable of safely handling by effectively utilizing kernel of Prunus domestica LINN. CONSTITUTION: This tyrosinase activity inhibitor contains an extract obtained by extracting a kernel of Prunus domestica LINN. with an extracting solvent as an active ingredient. This cosmetic contains the inhibitor.
