<p>PURPOSE: To form a coating film excellent in reflection preventive property, water repellency and high in the scuffing resistance by specifying the components of an inorganic composition, the ratio of the composition and a gas composition, in a method for applying 2 kinds of inorganic mixed compositions obtained from a tetraalkoxy silane on a base material and allowing the surface of the coated material to contact with the discharge plasma of a gaseous mixture. CONSTITUTION: The inorganic composition (C) prepared by mixing a condensation composition (A) obtained by mixing 2-8mol basic water of pH10.0-12.0 and 10-30mol organic solvent to 1mol of a tetraalkoxy silane and a condensation composition (B) obtained by mixing 3-8mol acidic water of pH0-2.6 and 10-30mol organic solvent to 1mol of a tetraalkoxy silane in the ratio of (A)/(B)=0.4-2.4 (by weight) is applied on the base material. The coated material is arranged between metallic electrodes, voltage is applied between the electrodes under a near atmospheric pressure of the gaseous mixture consisting of <=10vol.% unsaturated hydrocarbon gas and the balance inert gas and the generated discharge plasma of the gas is brought into contact with the surface of the coated material.</p> |
