PURPOSE: To improve operation efficiency by supporting the operation that a user adds reading information to a place name in a document. CONSTITUTION: A morpheme analysis part 3 takes a morpheme analysis of a document passed from a control part 2 and passes the analysis result to a place name correction processing part 5. The place name correction processing part 5 retrieves a character string representing a place name according to the morpheme analysis result and judges whether or not detail information on reading information is appended to the character string, displays unappended character strings at a display part discriminatingly from other character strings, and displays a message making the user select whether or not reading information is appended to the discriminatingly displayed place name in the same screen on the display part 7. When the user selects the addition of the reading information, a message prompting the user to input reading information through an input part 1 is displayed, and the reading information inputted from the input part 1 is parenthesized, inserted behind the object place name, and displayed at the display part 7. |
