PURPOSE: To provide the amplifier circuit whose external terminals are reduced in the circuit integration and to reduce the umber of components of the amplifier circuit amplifying an input signal with a gain in response to a signal amplitude while clamping the input signal at a prescribed level. CONSTITUTION: The amplifier circuit is provided with a peak detection circuit 13 detecting a peak of an amplitude of an input signal, a comparator 15 comparing the signal detected by the peak detection circuit 13 with a reference voltage generated by a reference power supply 14 and providing a difference signal, a VCA 16 amplifying the input signal at a gain in response to the difference signal outputted from the comparator 15, and a clamp circuit 12 clamping the input signal by a prescribed clamp level. A capacitor C1 to eliminate a DC component connecting to an input of the VCA 16 is used in common for a capacitor for stabilizing the clamp circuit 12. |
