A sensor registers the effective fat content in milk flowing in the line (21), following skimming. The signal is processed in the control unit (10), yielding a proportional output signal, used to control the plant, precisely adjusting the fat content. The sensor (21) is located downstream of the mixing tube (3) which mixes the cream (13) with the skimmed milk. A further sensor measures the fat content of the cream (13) in the cream line. In addition to the equipment, the method of standardisation by its use, is also claimed. |
