FIELD: production of edges of industrial cloth panels, particular, drying screens of paper-making and cardboard machines. SUBSTANCE: known methods fail to ensure the required mechanical and physical characteristics and quality of edge of industrial cloth panels, particular, drying screens of paper-making machines. The offered method for production of fixing edges of industrial cloth panels, mainly, for drying screens of paper making machines consists in cutting-off the cloth panel edge and continuous application of polymer material to cloth edge. In this case, polymer is used in form of melt of thermoplastic polyurethane based on polyester or polyether, 1,4-butanediol and 4,4-diphenylmethane diisocyanate with additive in form of fluorinated oligoether based on methane-tricarboxilic acid. Melt is applied at pressure simultaneously on the upper, lower and side surfaces of the edge of cloth panel to form rounded fillet of applied polymer on side surface of cloth panel edge, and at the same time, penetration of polymer inside the material of cloth panel edge. Polymer is applied to a unit of cloth length in the amount determined by the formula given in the invention description. Melt is applied at pressure of 0.5-3.0 MPa at temperature within the range of melting temperature to the temperature of destruction beginning at cloth motion speed of 0.5-2.0 m/min. Additive is used in the amount of 0.5-4% by mass. EFFECT: increased wear resistance and resistance to becoming unravelled and tousled. 6 cl, 4 dwg |
