PURPOSE: To provide the character output device which can output a shape formed by connecting plural characters. CONSTITUTION: When the output of the connected shape is specified, namely, when connection specification data is set to '1', it is decided whether or not there is connection shape data of a character code to be outputted; when the data is present, the connection shape data is read out of a connection shape data ROM 7, but when not, ordinary shape data is read out of a character ROM 6, so that a character is outputted on the basis of the read data. |
