Heavy calibre ammunition (2) is packed in a container consisting of a thin-walled propellant charge case (3) with base (4) and a propellant cage shell (5) projecting from the case. An adapter part (9) is positioned between the flanges (7, 8) of the propellant cage (6) and the inner wall of the packaging container. To avoid displacement of the adapter part in the direction of the case bottom, at least one pin (22, 23) is provided, which extends either in the region of the adapter part or, seen in the direction of the shell tip (18), immediately behind the adapter part, through corresp. openings (25-28) transverse to the container. pref. two pins are provided, symmetrical to the longitudinal axis. |
