摘要 PURPOSE: To exactly detect the leakage of fuel from a fuel supply line by computing the quantity of fuel of a fuel tank consumed in a specified period and the quantity of fuel injected from a fuel injector in the same period and comparing them, in a gas engine which uses gas fuel such as compressed natural gas, or the like. CONSTITUTION: A fuel tank 21 is provided with a fuel temperature sensor 30 and a fuel pressure sensor 31, and these detection signals are inputted into a control unit 28 together with the signal of each sensor detecting the condition of engine operation. And during operation of an engine, the pulse width of the drive pulse signal outputted to a fuel injector 22 is read in, and it is converted into the amount of injection. Moreover, the supply pressure to the fuel injector 22 being decompressed by a regulator 27 is computed, and the amount of injection is corrected, and the addition of the amount of injection is performed to calculate the total quantity of injected fuel. Next, the quantity of consumed fuel of the fuel tank 21 is obtained, and the quantity of this consumed fuel and the quantity of total injected fuel are compared, and in case that the side of the quantity of consumed fuel is larger than the other, it is judged that there is fuel leakage in the fuel supply line.
