An exhaust gas purifying filter (1) for removing solid particles made of carbon as a main ingredient from a combustion exhaust gas, having a honeycomb structural body (4), flow passages (3) of which are sealed alternately at both ends by means of sealing portions (5) like a checkerboard pattern, is disclosed. In the exhaust gas purifying filter (1) according to the invention, thicknesses of the sealing portions (5) formed in the flow passages (3) of the honeycomb structural body (4) are different at random. Moreover, an exhaust gas purifying apparatus utilizing the exhaust gas purifying filter (1) according to the invention is disclosed.
