PURPOSE: To obtain a film or sheet which is improved in shock resistance when a deep drawn product falls down and is useful as a packaging film or sheet for food products, drinks, toys and general merchandises by using a resin composition prepared by compounding a polyester elastomer with an aromatic polyester. CONSTITUTION: A resin composition comprising (A) 99.5-85 pts.wt. of an aromatic polyester, for example, polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, polyethylene 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylate or polybutylene 2,6- naphthalenedicarboxylate and (B) 0.5-15 pts.wt., preferably 2-10 pts.wt. of a polyester elastomer, preferably a block copolymer which is composed of 20-80wt.% of a hard segment mainly consisting of polybutylene terephthalate where terephthalic acid and tetramethylene glycol occupy >=60 equivalent mole % of the dicarboxylic acid and 80-50wt.% of a soft segment of a polyester where aromatic dicarboxylic acid and a 5-12C long-chain diol occupy >=60 equivalent mole % of the dicarboxylic acid component is used. |
