PURPOSE: To provide a moving image reproducing device reducing the disappearance of background images as much as possible while KARAOKE (orchestration without lyrics) is played, even if damage is generated at a CD-ROM disk. CONSTITUTION: When the error during the reading of a CD-ROM disk is detected and the error exists on the side of a CD-ROM drive 44, the use of the CD-ROM drive 44 is stopped. When the error is caused by the damage, etc., on the side of a CD-ROM disk, the reading of the chapter in which the damage is generated is stopped. Because the information for which the use is stopped is held in an NVRAM 40 even if the power source of a disk player 30 is turned off, the error does not occur again due to this defective CD-ROM drive 44 or the defective chapter when the power source is turned on again. |
